| STEP 1 - Test the screen tension and smoothness of operation. If you want to increase the tension, repeat steps 6 and 7. Tension should be set to firmly retract the screen. This is important to prevent the wind from blowing the screen out of the tracks. The DIY screen uses a full-length magnetic catch so it can accept a lot of tension on the screen and still remain securely in place. | STEP 2 - Mark the positions for the recess clips about 2 feet down and up from the top and bottom of the door jam and one centered. Affix the recess clips with the screws provided. If you are surface mounting the screen, use the included clips that attach to the housing. Then, simply attach the housing on the side of the opening with the inside edge of the housing even with the opening jamb. Make sure the housing is plumb. The top of the housing will extend above the opening 2" and below approx 1". If the housing can't extend below due to a sill or floor, that's OK. That will simply mean the screen will be a little bit higher on top. |

| STEP 3 - Snap the housing into place inside the recess clips with a half-rotating movement. Ignore this if mounting on the surface outside of the opening. | STEP 4 - Opposite the housing will be the side profile with magnetic strip inside. Cut the side profile to the exact measure of the height of the door jam. Drill three holes to the wider side of the side profile. If you are mounting the screen on the surface around the opening, then ignore the above directions. If you are mounting the screen outside of the opening on the surface, then cut the side profile the same length as the screen housing assembly. This will be 3" more than the opening height measurement. Then use the supplied clips and attach the side profile with the inside edge flush with the opening jamb. Make sure it is plumb and has the same amount above and below the opening as the housing does. |

| STEP 5 - Align side profile opposite the housing and affix to the door jamb. | STEP 6 - Measure from the edge of the installed side profile to the inside edge of the housing and deduct 1/4". Use this dimension for the top and bottom tracks. Slide the weather stripping out of the tracks before cutting the tracks. |

| STEP 7 - Replace the weather stripping into the tracks. "7". Crimp lightly the ends of the tracks to stop the weather stripping from moving. | STEP 8 - Position the top and bottom track. Center them inside the side profile and the housing. Affix with two screws per track. Place the screws closes to each end of the tracks. Slide the door back and forth. You're finished! If you are installing on the surface, then use clips and attach to wall after positioning the tracks in place. If the bottom track is on the floor, follow the above instructions for an inside mount. |
