The Bella (DIY) single door retractable screen is rapidly replacing the old-fashioned swinging screen door. The convenience of only having to open one door to enter or exit your home is, by itself, an excellent reason for ordering a Bella retractable screen door. 

 

Insect Protection

 

Think about how many times you have entered your home with your arms full using one arm to hold open the screen door while fumbling with your keys to open the entry door. Then, you manage to unlock and open the door while pushing the screen door wider so you can pass through only to have it slap you on the back as you squeeze through into your house; and as a last insult, the screen door slams shut. Thankfully those days are over.

 

The Bella (DIY) screen retracts safely into a small housing until you are ready to draw it over the opening to the full-length magnetic latch. This full-length magnetic latch is very secure and will resist most efforts by pets and young children to open. Those cool breezes can now be enjoyed while using the Bella (DIY) screen to protect your home from those annoying insects. You can feel confident and secure from those pesky critters.

 

Out of Sight

 

The Bella (DIY) retractable screen door (single) is a great solution for pocketing sliding glass doors and for even large single swing doors. The maximum width for a single door is 50" in width and 96" in height.

The Bella (DIY) retractable screen clean sweeps the fabric during every retraction insuring minimum maintenance and maximum view.

 

Heavy-Duty Guide Tracks

 

Each Bella retractable screen door has guide tracks that coordinate the operation of the screen and pull bar during operation. The guide tracks are deep and also have plush double weather stripping that hugs the screen material when the screen is extended insuring maximum bug protection and resistance to wind bulges.

 

Larger screens receive a special wind-resistant weather strip that grabs the screen material and prevents it from bulging in windy conditions. (BEWARE of retractable screens that have NO GUIDE tracks or very shallow tracks with thin or no weather stripping.)

 

Insect, Solar & Blackout Screen Fabrics

 

The Bella retractable screens use a Phifer insect screen with a weave of 18 x 16. This keeps most critters out but still allows for ventilation, view and about a 30% sun block. We also offer No-See-Um screens, solar screens and blackout fabrics.

 

Installation Flexibility

 

The Bella (DIY) retractable screen door (single) can be recess mounted inside the door jamb (1-1/2" minimum depth is required) or mounted on the outside of the opening on the surface of the wall. The DIY screen can be installed on the outside of the building in the weather or inside the building as you wish. All DIY screen products are made of materials designed for all types of environmental challenges.

 

Wheel-Chair Access

 

Access for wheel chairs has been designed into the system. We have several ramp interfaces that allow a ramp approach to the bottom track for a smooth rollover by a wheel chair.
